A PASSION FOR SUSTAINABLE FASHION

I have long been a proponent of vintage & sustainable fashion - I will spend hours trawling every carboot, vintage fair, vide grenier & charity shop I encounter with gusto. The result? A wardrobe comprised of more than 90% vintage & secondhand fashion with my opting  for old rather than new more often than not. Most of my race-wear looks & even my riding kit choices favour pieces with a backstory. My passion is to mix contemporary fashion with vintage & charity shop finds for editorial, commercial & private client work & collaborations with Georgia Toffolo, Vogue Williams & Francesca Cumani have changed how secondhand fashion is viewed.

I have been thrilled to see private clients recognising the joys of wearing vintage & secondhand - no "who wore it better" not to mention an amazing feeling of doing ones bit for the environment. Campaigns with the The Jockey Club, Great British Racing, ITV & Leopardstown Racecourse as well as features in Country Life, Intelligent Magazine, Hello! Magazine & The Independent have helped pave the way for others to embrace secondhand & normalise the re-wearing of outfits.

Of course sustainable fashion doesn't have to be secondhand hence my carefully choosing the contemporary brands that I collaborate with. Supporting small businesses with a good sustainable ethos is paramount for me, be they fashion designers, milliners or accessory brands. My “Maison de Saison” concept - a curated luxury womenswear pop-up devoted to the classic British season combines contemporary & vintage fashion for those striving to choose a more sustainable fashion path.
